The immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu OON, has urged beneficiaries of the Aniocha North Local Government in Delta State and Mosra Energy Ltd’s youth empowerment program to utilize the resources and opportunities provided to them wisely.
Speaking on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at the formal distribution of starter packs to the youths empowered by Mosra Energy Ltd in conjunction with the Aniocha North Local Government, Elumelu emphasized the importance of accountability and resilience in business.
Drawing a parallel with a biblical story, Elumelu stressed the expectation of results from the beneficiaries, noting that the Youth Empowerment Initiative by Mosra Energy limited in partnership with the Aniocha North Local Government, aligned with the empowerment, Job and wealth creation initiatives of the Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori administration in Delta State.
The former Minority Leader, widely known for his youth empowerment efforts, urged the beneficiaries to be responsible and contribute to the growth of others.
Mosra Energy limited, a coal mining company based in Ugboba, in conjunction with the Aniocha North Local Government retrained 40 skilled Youths and empowered them with equipment for catering, electrical Installation, fashion designer and hair Dressing.
The programme, is designed to empower the beneficiaries to become self-reliant and help to contribute to the economy. The empowerment package also included One Hundred Thousand Naira cash (N100, 000) to each of the beneficiaries to enable them rent a workshop or business premises.
Hon Elumelu at the event announced an additional financial support from the Founder of The Tony Elumelu Foundation, Dr. Tony Elumelu, for each of the beneficiaries.
Elumelu who was accompanied to the event by his Son, Onyedika, also announced his cash donation to further support the beneficiaries.
He commended the Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye for his commitment to youth empowerment and development and Mosra Energy for partnering with the administration to bring about Youth Empowerment.
He expressed confidence in the beneficiaries’ ability to meet expectations and not to be a disappointment to the leaders, even as he urged them to be responsible with the resources given and use the opportunity to create jobs for others.
