The Nigerian Army has presented the Award of Stealth and Adaptability to the Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Delta State, Hon. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the fight against crime and criminality, particularly kidnapping, within the local government area.
The award was presented on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, by the Commander, 63 Brigade Garrison, Asaba, Lt. Col. L. A. Balogun, during a courtesy visit to the Chairman at his office in Issele-Uku, the headquarters of Aniocha North Local Government.
Speaking during the presentation, Lt. Col. Balogun explained that the honour was conferred on Hon. Chinye in appreciation of his administration’s sustained support for security operations and intelligence-driven collaboration with security agencies, which have significantly aided the Nigerian Army and other security outfits in combating kidnapping and other criminal activities in Aniocha North. He noted that the local government area remains a critical catchment under the operational command of the 63 Brigade Garrison, making effective civil-military cooperation indispensable.
According to the Brigade Commander, the Chairman’s proactive approach to security, including community engagement and logistical support, has enhanced operational effectiveness and contributed to improved peace and stability in the area.
In his response, Hon. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye expressed deep appreciation to the Nigerian Army, describing the award as a collective recognition of the resolve of the people and leadership of Aniocha North to reject crime and insecurity. He reaffirmed his administration’s untiring commitment to supporting the military and other security agencies in safeguarding lives and property.
The Chairman pledged that his administration’s Vision to Rebuild Aniocha North would continue to prioritize peace and security as a foundation for development, stressing that a secure environment remains key to delivering MORE GAINS with RENEWED HOPE to the people of Aniocha North.
