Immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has commended Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for his inclusive leadership style, describing it as a stabilising force capable of strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Elumelu gave the commendation while speaking with journalists after a high-level APC stakeholders’ meeting held on Friday at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Asaba, which brought together the Governor, former Governor of the state, Hon. Minister for Aviation and the immediate past Deputy President of the Senate and other critical party leaders.
Reflecting on the Governor’s address at the meeting, Elumelu said the emphasis on unity, collective interest and grassroots mobilisation was timely, noting that the future strength of the party depended largely on cohesion and active participation of members across the state.

He stressed the importance of party unity, urging leaders and members to work as an indivisible family, especially as the party prepares for its forthcoming congresses. According to him, congresses have a way of straightening and repositioning the party, adding that with unity of purpose, the outcomes should be a win-win for all.
“The leadership of the party has assured that everyone will be carried along. If we remain united and focused, the congresses will further strengthen the APC in Delta State,” he said.
On membership mobilisation, Elumelu called on old and new members of the APC, particularly in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, to take advantage of the ongoing APC e-registration exercise to register and validate their membership. He noted that a strong and verifiable membership base was critical to the party’s success.
He also spoke on the second phase of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR), urging residents of the federal constituency, especially those who have attained the age of 18, to participate actively in the exercise.
“It is very important for our people to register so they can vote in the general elections. I will be joining other leaders in the constituency to ensure that residents come out en masse to participate in the voter registration exercise,” Elumelu stated.
The former Minority Leader further appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his untiring dedication to the growth and strength of the APC, commending the achievements being recorded under the Renewed Hope Initiative.
He assured that he would work with other leaders in the state and align with Governor Oborevwori to deliver Delta State for President Tinubu in his bid for a second term in office.
The APC stakeholders’ meeting also featured remarks by the Governor, former Governor, the Honourable Minister for Aviation, immediate past Deputy Senate President, National and State party officials, all of whom harped on unity, effective mobilisation, successful completion of e-registration and peaceful conduct of the forthcoming party congresses.
