The Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye, has commended the Obi of Ugboba Kingdom and Chairman of the Aniocha North Traditional Rulers Committee, HRM Agbogidi Obi Ezedimbu Emmanuel Nkebakwu III, for his sustained investment in education and youth development through the donation of internet-enabled computers and learning materials to Ojeokpa Primary School, Ugboba.
Represented by the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Hon. Kennedy Okoh, during the monarch’s birthday celebration at the school premises, Hon. Chinye described the initiative as a noble intervention that would positively impact the academic future of pupils in the community.
The Council Chairman noted that the donation of computers, school bags, books and writing materials to all the pupils of the school aligns with the local government’s commitment to improving educational standards and creating opportunities for children to thrive in a technology-driven world.
Hon. Chinye praised the revered monarch for choosing to mark his birthday through service to humanity rather than personal festivities, saying the gesture reflected his passion for community development and the welfare of future generations.
He further acknowledged the monarch’s contributions to peace, unity and grassroots development across Aniocha North, particularly in his capacity as Chairman of the Aniocha North Traditional Rulers Committee.
In recognition of his outstanding support for education and community advancement, the Chairman announced the appointment of HRM Obi Nkebakwu as Life Patron of the Aniocha North Education Committee.

Earlier, the monarch had donated internet-enabled computers to Ojeokpa Primary School and distributed educational materials to pupils as part of activities marking his birthday anniversary.
Addressing the pupils, Obi Nkebakwu said he deliberately chose to celebrate the occasion with them because they represent the future leaders of the nation and explained that the provision of computers as well as internet facilities was intended to expose them to digital knowledge and equip them for future responsibilities.
The monarch also challenged the teachers to safeguard the equipment, assuring them that he would provide additional computers in the future if the existing ones were properly maintained.
He expressed delight over the construction of a secondary school in the community by the Member representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ngozi Okolie, and pledged to extend support to the institution to further strengthen educational development in Ugboba.
In her remarks, the Headmistress of Ojeokpa Primary School, Mrs. Philomena Awele Nwasonwu, expressed gratitude to the monarch for his consistent support to the school over the years. She noted that beyond providing annual school uniforms for pupils, the royal father had continued to champion initiatives aimed at improving learning and academic excellence.
She described the installation of internet facilities and donation of computers as a landmark achievement that would expose pupils to modern technology and enhance their learning experience.
A practical demonstration of the new ICT facilities was conducted by the contractor, Engr. Kelly Okorie, who connected the computers to the internet during the event, showcasing their functionality to guests and community members.
The celebration climaxed with the cutting of the birthday cake by the monarch amidst goodwill messages from traditional rulers, community leaders, government officials and other distinguished guests who gathered to honour him.
Among the dignitaries who attended the event was the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Mosra Energy Limited, Mr. Olukayode Ramos, who travelled from Abuja to join the monarch in celebrating the occasion.
Also present were the Obi of Umunede; HRM Agadagidi Ezeagwu Ezenweali, the Obi of Onicha-Ugbo; HRM Obi Victor Chukwumalieze, and Barrister Andrew Odum, SAN, alongside other distinguished personalities from within and outside the community.
