Elumelu 2023: Aniocha/Oshimili People’s Foundation Unveils Campaign Uniforms

Asaba the capital of oil rich Delta, was agog over the weekend when a Socio-political pressure group, Aniocha/Oshimili People’s Foundation, gathered in their numbers to unveil their campaign materials in support of the 2023 re-election bid of the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu.

The Group led by their National Coordinator and a veteran journalist, renowned broadcaster, social and cultural activist, Madam Ngozi Chukwuka Odiwe, unveiled the campaign materials that included, customized and embossed T-Shirts and caps.

 

Also unveiled were beautiful akra materials solely to be adorned by members of the group on the day Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu will be inaugurated as a member of the 10th National Assembly of the House of Representatives.

Unveiling the Campaign Materials, Madam Odiwe who is a retired Deputy General Manager of the Delta State Broadcasting Service, said that the Group support for Elumelu was based on his proactive and sincere representation of the people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, saying that his track records could been seen in all communities and towns within the four Local Government areas in the Federal Constituency.

“We are people from Aniocha/Oshimili background, sons and daughters of Aniocha/Oshimili at home and diaspora. We are here to show our solidarity for our brother and son, Rt. Hon Ndudi Godwin Elumelu. Why, because we have looked around and have seen what he has done with the mandate given to him by the people of this Federal Constituency.

“This time around, we are with our brother and we are happy with his representation. We have already passed a vote of confidence on him for his wonderful performance and today with this ceremony; we are re-emphasizing our support and confidence in his ability to continue with his representation of our constituency in the House of Representatives.

“In all the nooks and crannies in Aniocha/Oshimili, there is no place that you will not see the handwork of Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu. He is always doing one project or the other in the various communities in Aniocha Oshimili.

“That is why this organization, a registered non-governmental organization, is here today to show our solidarity for him and also called out other Aniocha/Oshimili People, sons and daughters to be ‘Elumelufied’ towards ensuring total victory for Ndudi Elumelu in the forthcoming general election in February, 2023.

“In supporting him, we have decided to make these campaign T-Shirts and Caps, which we are unveiling today to show our support for him because he has been working so hard for the well-being of the people as our representative in the National Assembly.

“And because we trust God to give our brother and son overwhelming victory in the 2023 National Assembly elections, we are also today unveiling the clothes we will wear for our brother’s swearing in as a member of the 10th National Assembly,” Madam Ngozi Odiwe stated.

Some members of the group also attested to Elumelu’s good representation of the people of Aniocha/Oshimili in the House of Representatives, describing him as an epitome of a master of human capital development and a sincere representative with a great passion for the people.

Responding, the Senior Legislative aide in the Office of the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Ms Bridget Modebe appreciated the group for their unalloyed commitment and support to the Rt.Hon. Ndudi Elumelu and said that God has continued to use the Federal lawmaker as an instrument of blessing for the people of Aniocha/Oshimili in particular and Delta State in general.

Modebe affirmed the spread of people oriented projects and programmes across the four Local Government Areas within the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, courtesy of Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu and said that the projects that included Community Town Halls, ICT Centres, Civic Centres, Solar Street Lights, Roads and Drainage Systems, Traditional Rulers Palaces, Empowerment Programmes and Capacity Training for the people are visible and speaking voluminously for him.

While calling on the group not to relent in their support, Modebe impressed on them on the need to encourage others to ensure the collection of their PVC, saying that their love for Elumelu can only be expressed through the use of their PCV to vote overwhelmingly for him in the 2023 general election.

“If you don’t have your Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs, then you don’t love him, because without your PVC, you cannot send Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu back to the National Assembly. Without PVC, he cannot be there. Without PVC, we cannot vote for him.

“So, everyone with their PVC, let us be prepared to come with our hearts on the day of the election to support and vote for Ndudi Elumelu and God will bless us richly in Jesus Name.”

The Senior Legislative aide, also solicited the support of the Group in the build up to the campaigns in September, noting that they will be needed in the field as the Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu Campaign Organization embarks on campaigns round the various communities in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency for votes.
