The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the House of Representatives, Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has charged members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Oshimili South Local Government Area to sustain aggressive grassroots mobilisation and voter engagement as the party intensifies preparations for the 2027 general election.
Elumelu gave the charge on Wednesday while receiving the Coordinator of the Oshimili South chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Sir Tobechukwu Okonkwo, alongside Ward Coordinators of the group, who paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Asaba.
Describing the visit as timely, encouraging and symbolic of the growing unity within the APC, Elumelu commended the coordinators for their commitment to strengthening the party’s structures at the grassroots.
He noted that political victories are built on effective mobilisation, strategic communication and sustained engagement with the people, urging the coordinators to remain focused on the ideals of service, unity and inclusiveness that define the Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to him, the responsibility of every party faithful extends beyond election periods, stressing that the task ahead requires consistent interaction with the electorate, effective voter education and continuous promotion of the achievements of APC governments at the federal and state levels.
“The success of our party in 2027 will depend largely on the strength of our grassroots structures. You are the bridge between the leadership of the party and the people at the polling units.
“Therefore, your commitment, discipline and dedication will determine how effectively our message reaches every household,” Elumelu stated.
The former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives expressed confidence that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors would play a critical role in consolidating the APC’s growing acceptance across the Federal Constituency.
He particularly described Oshimili South Local Government Area, especially Asaba, as politically strategic because of its cosmopolitan nature and diverse population, stressing that no serious political party could afford to neglect the area.
Elumelu advised the coordinators to carry every segment of society along in their mobilisation efforts, irrespective of ethnic, religious or social backgrounds, noting that inclusive politics remains the surest path to electoral success.
He urged them to continue projecting the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s development initiatives in Delta State and the accomplishments of APC candidates across the state as compelling reasons for greater public support.
The APC House of Representatives candidate also reflected on his record of representation, highlighting various interventions he facilitated across the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the areas of rural electrification, power infrastructure, street lighting, healthcare delivery, security support, youth and women empowerment, educational assistance and other community development projects.
He assured the delegation that, if elected in 2027, he would build on those achievements by attracting more people-oriented projects, expanding empowerment programmes and providing quality representation driven by accessibility, experience and measurable results.
“I remain committed to offering effective representation that prioritises the welfare of our people. Our campaign is not merely about winning an election; it is about sustaining development, creating opportunities for our youths and women, improving infrastructure and ensuring that every community in the Federal Constituency feels the impact of responsive leadership,” Elumelu said.
He thanked the Renewed Hope Ambassadors for identifying with his aspiration and reaffirmed his readiness to work with all party stakeholders in building a formidable APC capable of securing overwhelming victories in the 2027 general election.
Earlier, the Oshimili South Local Government Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Sir Tobechukwu Okonkwo, assured Elumelu that the group was fully prepared to mobilise support for the APC and all its candidates across the local government area.
He said the Ward Coordinators were carefully selected based on their credibility, grassroots acceptance and commitment to the ideals of the party, adding that they were already working with unit executives to deepen voter mobilisation ahead of the elections.
Okonkwo maintained that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors would vigorously propagate the “One Party, One Message, One Mobilisation” mantra, expressing confidence that the impressive records of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu and other APC candidates would make the party the preferred choice of the electorate in 2027.
He assured the APC House of Representatives candidate that the group would leave nothing to chance in ensuring that the party records resounding victories across Oshimili South and the entire Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency.
