A prominent political leader in Delta State and member of the State Advisory and Elders Council, Chief Nkem Okwuofu, has congratulated Sheriff Francis Oborevwori on his unanimous emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate for the 2027 general election.
Chief Okwuofu, in a congratulatory message following the just concluded APC Governorship primary election in Delta State, described Governor Oborevwori’s victory as a clear demonstration of the overwhelming confidence and trust the people of the state repose in his leadership and administration.
She eulogised the Governor for what she described as his inclusive style of governance, massive infrastructural development, empowerment programmes, peace-building initiatives and people-oriented policies which, according to her, endeared him to party members and the people of Delta State.
The APC stalwart noted that the massive support and unanimous votes recorded across the state during the primary election reflected the acceptance of Governor Oborevwori by party faithful and Deltans who, she said, had witnessed remarkable progress under his administration.
Chief Okwuofu, popularly known as “Permanent Mother of Government” (PMOG), also congratulated Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa on his emergence as the APC senatorial candidate for Delta North Senatorial District, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu as the APC House of Representatives candidate for Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, and Engr. Fidel Onwodi as the APC candidate for the Delta State House of Assembly, Aniocha North State Constituency.
She further extended her congratulations to all elected and returned candidates of the APC across the three senatorial districts of Delta State, describing their victories as well deserved and reflective of the confidence party members have in their capacity to deliver quality representation and leadership.
The renowned politician commended members of the APC across the state for their overwhelming support for Governor Oborevwori and other party candidates during the primaries, urging them to remain steadfast and committed as the party prepares for the 2027 general election.
According to her, the successful conduct of the primary elections has further strengthened the unity and electoral prospects of the APC in Delta State.
Chief Okwuofu also called on leaders and members of the party to close ranks and work collectively towards securing a landslide victory for the APC in the forthcoming elections, from the Presidential candidate down to the State House of Assembly candidates.
She stressed the need for continued unity, loyalty and mobilisation at the grassroots, noting that the task ahead requires commitment, sacrifice and collective effort from all stakeholders within the party.
The APC chieftain further urged party faithful across Delta State to come out en masse for the presidential direct primary election scheduled for tomorrow to affirm the candidature of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the undisputed Presidential candidate of the APC.
She expressed confidence that the APC would record overwhelming victories at all levels in the 2027 general election if members sustain the current momentum, unity and support being enjoyed by the party across the state.
