Elumelu Mourns with Delta APC Chairman Arenyeka Over Mother’s Passing at 91

The immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Godwin Elumelu, OON, has expressed deep sympathy over the passing of the mother of the Delta State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Solomon Arenyeka, describing her transition as the glorious home call of a fulfilled matriarch.

In a condolence message, Rt. Hon. Elumelu commiserated with Chief Arenyeka, the Arenyeka family, and all who were touched by the life of the late Mrs. Felicia Oritselumewor Arenyeka, who passed on peacefully at the age of 91.

He eulogized the departed matriarch as a woman of exceptional grace, strength, and virtue, whose life was marked by dedication to her family, community, and the service of humanity. He noted that Mama Arenyeka’s legacy is evident in the values she instilled in her children and the positive impact she made on all who encountered her.

Rt. Hon. Elumelu thanked God for blessing the late matriarch with a long, purposeful, and impactful life, emphasizing that her 91 years on earth were a testament to divine grace and fulfillment.

“Though her passing has created a vacuum, we take solace in the remarkable life she lived and the enduring legacy she leaves behind. She was indeed a pillar whose memory will continue to inspire generations,” he stated.

The former Minority Leader prayed for God’s comfort and strength upon Chief Solomon Arenyeka and the entire Arenyeka family during this period of grief, urging them to remain consoled by the cherished memories of their beloved mother.

He further prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of Mama Felicia Oritselumewor Arenyeka, asking God to grant her eternal rest and perfect peace, as well as to grant the souls of all the faithful departed rest in His bosom.

Rt. Hon. Elumelu urged the family to take heart, trusting in God’s promise of eternal life and the hope of resurrection.
