The Minority Leader of the 9th House of Representatives and APC Flag Bearer for the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has congratulated his sister-in-law, Dr. Awele Vivien Elumelu, on the occasion of her 56th birthday anniversary.
Dr. Awele Elumelu, a distinguished healthcare entrepreneur, philanthropist, and corporate leader, is the wife of renowned businessman and investor, Mr. Tony Elumelu, CFR, elder brother of Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu.
In a goodwill message marking the celebration, Rt. Hon. Elumelu described Dr. Awele as an exceptional woman whose life has been defined by compassion, excellence, humility, and dedication to the service of humanity.
He noted that throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Awele has distinguished herself as a leading figure in the healthcare sector through her stewardship of Avon Healthcare Limited, where she has championed initiatives designed to improve access to quality and affordable healthcare for countless Nigerians.
The former Minority Leader also applauded her growing influence in Nigeria’s corporate and hospitality sectors, particularly her appointment as Chairman of the Board of Transcorp Hotels Plc, the hospitality subsidiary of Transnational Corporation Plc.
Ndudi Elumelu observed that the appointment, which took effect on January 1, 2026, is a fitting recognition of Dr Awele’s outstanding leadership qualities, wealth of experience, and proven record of excellence in corporate governance.
